Fioricet
and Codeine
Fioricet on its own is actually a combination of Acetaminophen,
Butalbital and Caffeine. The primary use of this medication is to
relieve tension headaches with the addition of opiates such as codeine
for a more effective pain relief effect.
The
dosage varies according to the prescription with each dose usually
taken every four hours, no more than six doses a day should be taken
unless by advice of a doctor.
Typical
side effects are an upset stomach and drowsiness with alchohol adding
to the severity of the drowsiness. Taken with milk and food can
