Aspirin
and Codeine
Also known as Empirin with Codeine or ASA with Codeine. This is
usually prescribed to treat mild to moderately severe pain.
Aspirin
has the advantage over Tylenol in the fact that it can be used to
treat arthritis inflammations. Aspirin on its own is used to reduce
redness, swelling and fever and also relieve the discomfort of headaches
and infections. However in a codeine composition its primary role
is usually pain relief.
The
usual dosage is once every four hours when needed. The doctor's
prescription should not be exceeded except when advised. Side effects
are not common but can happen the likely one being as usual with
codeine; drowsiness.
